Wright Development Group, Inc. is a Utah-based real estate development firm dedicated to working closely and fairly with tenants, community leaders, landowners, and buyers to design, develop and manage top-quality projects. The Company was founded with the philosophy of creating long-term value by building, owning and managing projects with state-of-the-art architectural, mechanical, and electrical design. Our goal is to maximize overall long-term return to tenants while enhancing the communities in which our projects are located.
Currently, we focus on the following areas of real estate development and investment: retail shopping centers, preferred developer services for national and regional tenants, general office and medical offices, multi-family residential and single family lot development. With our internal development, finance and legal departments, along with a team of experienced property management and leasing agents, Wright Development is able to provide better design, higher construction quality and enduring value.
Spencer H. Wright is the President and CEO of Wright Development Group. As the CEO, Spencer oversees all retail development and has extensive experience developing retail projects from start to finish. Prior to joining Wright Development, Spencer worked at a national law firm in Washington D.C. In addition to working closely with individual municipalities to secure approvals for the Company’s developments, Spencer oversees all contract negotiations and leasing associated with the retail development, including lease agreements, purchase and sale agreements, site development agreements, and easements, covenants and restrictions associated with each property.
Logan works in entitlements, project management and permit coordination for Wright Development. He also assists in land acquisition, site concept development and project evaluations. Projects include single family and multifamily residential, retail commercial and mixed use developments. Logan began working with Wright Development in 2015. He studied Economics at Utah State University and Community Planning at Auburn University. He previously worked at the Wasatch Front Regional Council in regional economic development. Logan brings private and public sector experience to the team.
Dale VanWagoner is the Senior Property Manager of Somerset Property Management, a premier property management company, and an affiliate of Wright Development Group. Dale is a veteran property manager with over 15 years of experience in real estate and property management. Dale works diligently with tenants, vendors and maintenance personnel to ensure that each center remains a first-class center long after it is constructed. Dale’s ultimate goal is to provide each tenant with outstanding service, thereby enabling them to increase sales per square foot year after year. Dale has obtained his Certified Property Manager (CPM), designation through the local IREM chapter.
Thomas Hunt is a Civil Engineer experienced in all aspects of construction, commercial and residential planning and design. He has planned and designed 300+ residential projects, 400+ convenience stores and many other multi-million-dollar commercial projects across the western United States including various mixed-use projects featuring commercial, residential, and multi-family development. He has a strong understanding of industry and government standards, requirements, and guidelines.
Sam Hansen, President of Somerset Construction, oversees all facets of the general contracting operation, including project management, estimating and field management. Sam maintains relationships with Somerset’s clients and works with our project teams to ensure the successful completion of all projects. Sam has been a leader in commercial construction for over 20 years working with top-tier general contractors throughout the Intermountain West. He has overseen the construction of millions of square feet of every project type, ranging from restaurants, retail shopping centers, big-box national retail stores, industrial, office and multi-family. Sam’s dedication to each project is unsurpassed and his ability to complete a project on time and on budget makes Somerset a leader in the industry.
Amy Dolce is General Counsel for Wright Development Group. Amy received her J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law. Her experience includes representing real estate firms regarding land acquisition, mixed use/retail development and leasing of shopping centers across the Wasatch Front and Park City areas, and she has represented a nationwide healthcare provider in negotiating and drafting office and retail leases for properties through the United States. Amy manages company documents, prepares and negotiates the purchase and sale contracts, leases, easements, covenants and restrictions and other property-related documents associated with the company’s developments.
Daniel Stanworth is the CFO for Wright Development Group and is integral in the construction and permanent financing process for new and existing development projects. Daniel is also responsible for managing the banking/lending relationships as well as the private equity partnerships. Prior to joining Wright Development Group, Daniel worked at one of the nation’s largest banks within their commercial real estate division. While there he managed all facets of the banking relationships for privately held commercial and residential developers. He has experience in underwriting and deploying capital to nearly all real estate product types. Daniel holds a B.S in Business Management-Finance from Brigham Young University.
